Melissa – Perenne. Pianta erbacea con profumo di limone. Si semina in primavera e si mette a dimora
in estate distanziando le piante di 30 cm. E’ preferibile coltivarla in posizione ben esposta e riparata dai venti: si adatta anche a terreni umidi. Le foglie fresche si usano in cucina e nella preparazione di liquori e profumi ma si utilizzano principalmente per ottenere infusi dalle eccellenti proprietà digestive.

Melissa – Perennial. Herbaceous plant with a lemony scent. Sow in the spring and plant out in the summer, spacing the plants 30 cm apart. For best results grow in well-exposed position, sheltered from the wind: even suitable for moist soils. The fresh leaves are used in cooking and to prepare liqueurs and fragrances, but are primarily used to obtain infusions with excellent digestive properties.
