PEPERONE FRIGGITELLO

Peperone Friggitello – Peperone molto apprezzato per il gusto dolce e saporito della polpa. Adatto sia alla conservazione (sott’aceto a frutto verde oppure per essiccazione a frutto maturo) che al consumo fresco. Tradizionalmente viene cucinato ancora verde facendolo “saltare” in padella. La pianta presenta foglie verde scuro di media dimensione ed i frutti passano da un bel colore verde intenso al rosso vivace di piena maturazione. La semina oppure il trapianto è per file distanti 60 cm con distanza di 40 cm sulla fila. Si consiglia di trapiantare quando la piantina ha raggiunto i 15 cm d’altezza.

Pepper Friggitello – A very popular pepper on account of its sweet taste and flavour of the pulp. Ideal for both preserves (pickled when green or dried when ripe) and fresh consumption. Traditionally cooked by sautéing. The plant has medium-sized dark green leaves and the fruit change from a fine bright green colour to lively red when fully ripe. Sow or transplant in rows 60 cm apart and with distances of 40 cm along the row. Transplant when the seedling reaches a height of about 15 cm.
