Cipolla – Tropea rossa tonda – Preferisce climi temperati/caldi, adattandosi anche a climi freschi. È preferibile non ripiantarla nello stesso terreno prima di 3/4 anni; può succedere a pomodoro, cetriolo, leguminose da granella, mais, patata. Si semina in primavera per iniziare la raccolta in estate inoltrata. Seminando in semenzaio si ottiene un prodotto precoce. Si trapiantano le piantine che hanno messo 4 – 5 foglie a 15/20 cm. l’una dall’altra, con distanza tra file di 30/40 cm.

Onion Tropea red round – Prefers mild – warm climates but also adapts well to coolerclimes. Preferably should not be replanted in the same soil until 3 – 4 years later. Can be planted after tomato, cucumber, pulses, corn and potato. Sow in spring to start the harvest in late summer. An early maturing product can be obtained by sowing in a seedbed. The seedlings should be transplanted when they have 4 – 5 leaves 15 – 20 cm apart and with a distance between the rows of 30 – 40 cm.
