Raperonzolo – Radice bianca ed allungata della consistenza di un ravanello. Cresce spontaneamente nei prati ed è ricercato per il sapore particolare. Ben si presta ad essere consumato in insalata, con altre verdure, oppure singolarmente in pinzimonio. Sono commestibili sia le radici che le foglie. Si semina in estate, in semenzaio oppure in pieno campo a spaglio. Il trapianto avviene in autunno e la raccolta, che inizia già ad Ottobre, si protrae fino a primavera. Predilige terreni sabbiosi e ben drenati. Per facilitare l’operazione di semina si consiglia di miscelare accuratamente il seme con materiale inerte asciutto (sabbia).

Rampion – Elongated white root with the texture of a radish. Grows wild in fields and is popular for its unusual flavour. Ideal for use in salads with other vegetables or on its own served raw with an oil dressing. Both the root and the foliage are edible. Sow in summer in a seedbed or broadcast in the open field. Transplant in autumn, the harvest, which starts in October, lasts until spring. Prefers sandy, well-drained soils. To facilitate sowing, we recommend blending the seed with dry inert material, such as sand.
